Welcome to the Lansbury Players
Pantomime horror!
Welcome to the website of the Lansbury Players, an exciting theatre company based in Tower Hamlets. Members are drawn from across East London and further afield. Our name is taken from the inspirational local politician George Lansbury, who also gave his name to the Lansbury Estate where the group was formed.
Until 2006 we performed at the Emery Theatre in Poplar, but since its closure, we have been looking for a new permanent home - any suggestions or offers would be very welcome!
However, we are still very much in action. In the last couple of years, we have staged several productions at a variety of venues - most recently Lucky Sods and The Killing of Sister George.
Our next production will be a double bill of two comic one-act plays, at The Space on the Isle of Dogs: Anorak of Fire by Stephen Dinsdale, and Purvis by Nick Warburton.
